Fostering High-Level Nursing Specialists and Educational Researchers

The Master’s Program and Doctoral Program were introduced in April 2014.
The Graduate School of Nursing aims to develop high-level nursing specialists who can respond to people’s needs, and to develop educational researchers who can further develop nursing education and provide the benefits of such education and research to society.

Master's Program

Admission Policy

We welcome students who understand the principles of the College; have enthusiasm for the development of flexible thinking, deep understanding and the ability to make logical decisions in regard to diverse issues; who can demonstrate leadership in a variety of situations and organizations; and who have high aspirations for the development of education study and nursing practice with international perspectives and intellectual knowledge.

Based on the above policy, we strive to develop students’ intellectual qualities that support a knowledge-based society and foster specialists who can contribute to society in the fields of nursing practice, education and research with international perspectives:

  • ①  Those who can conduct education study activities with solid education and research capabilities
  • ②  Those who can apply their highly advanced education and practice capabilities to the practice of nursing
  • ③  Those who can take initiative and demonstrate leadership
  • ④  Those who can contribute to development in education and practice in nursing care


Curriculum Policy

We strive to develop researchers in the field of nursing sciences as well as certified nurse specialists based on the following educational goals:

  • ①  To develop the advanced practical education capabilities needed in order to provide high-quality education in nursing sciences as educational researchers having an international perspective and a deep sense of humanity
  • ②  To develop the advanced capability needed to practice nursing care of the highest quality as certified nurse specialists with an international perspective and a deep sense of humanity
  • ③  To foster students’ social and intellectual qualities by enhancing the ability to discuss issues, solve problems and demonstrate leadership


Diploma Policy

The master’s degree (in nursing sciences) will be granted to a student who has studied at the College for at least two years and acquired designated credits, received required research guidance, and passed the final examination after conducting special research or a project study.



Doctoral Program

Admission Policy

We welcome students who understand the principles of the College; who have enthusiasm for the voluntary development of advanced research capabilities with a spirit of inquiry and ethical perspectives; who are capable of developing education research independently in various situations and organizations; and who are highly motivated in contributing to global society with international perspectives and intellectual knowledge.

Under the above policy and based on highly intellectual knowledge that supports a knowledge-based society, we aim to develop specialists who can contribute to global society as key players in the fields of practice, education and research in nursing care:

  • ①  Those who can conduct educational research and development based on their advanced research capabilities as well as the educational capabilities that allow them to conduct systematic activities
  • ②  Those who can make proposals according to the scientific bases and research perspectives while demonstrating their initiative and leadership
  • ③  Those who can contribute to the development of the body of knowledge in nursing sciences


Curriculum Policy

Based on the following educational goals, we aim to foster education researchers:

  • ①  To develop advanced research capabilities required for a researcher to conduct research activities as independent researchers
  • ②  To develop education researchers who have the educational development capabilities as well as the intellectual knowledge and international perspectives required of those who provide nursing education
  • ③  To develop students’ leadership qualities with abundant knowledge by enhancing the ability to investigate problems, devise plans and implement those plans


Diploma Policy

The doctoral degree (in nursing sciences) will be granted to a student who has studied at the College for at least three years and acquired designated credits, received required research guidance, submitted the dissertation and passed the final examination.
